I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from Western New England University in Springfield, MA. During my time there, I conducted research under Dr. Holmes and Dr. Rocheleau examining the glutamine biosynthesis pathway in three hyperthermophilic archaean species. I also conducted research with Dr. Klimes indentifying genes involved in resting structure development in the plant pathogen, Verticillium dahliae. Additionally, I acted as a laboratory teaching assistant for general biology, plant biology, and human biology courses during my junior and senior year. During my college summers, I was a research assistant at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station Valley Laboratory working in the plant pathology lab. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at Oklahoma State University in the Department of Integrative Biology advised under Dr. Puni Jeyasingh studying evolutionary ecology using a resurrected Daphnia population. For more information about my research click on the "Research" tab above. When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, and generally trying to tire out my dog.
